Guess what I did this past holiday weekend?
Hello ladies and gentlemen, I would like to proudly announce that I am no longer Megan Rumsey (although that's a ROCKIN name), but I am now Mrs. Megan Arnett! :)
I got married this past Friday on Good Friday to the man of my dreams, the peanut to my butter, the mint to my chocolate chip, the cookies to, to my.....oh...I could go on for HOURS so I'll just stop here.
Basically, I'm friggin happy and couldn't ask for a better life partner.
This all happened fairly quickly so we did not have a big elaborate wedding or a costly honeymoon which I am okay with because I'm cheap and like to do cheap things. (I hate to spend money unnecessarily if at all possible)
Because this was a small ceremony with only the people that were in town at our local church, we are having a bigger ceremony next April 18, 2015 and a real honeymoon.
I was very happy with the way things turned out and I said "I Do" in my Wuwu's dress. (my grandmother) It was a very special moment for her and I and surprisingly, I kept it together, but she cried.
All in all it was a FANTASTIC, special, moving, amazing, unbelievable day and I'll cherish it in my heart for as long as I live.
As for the mini-moon, I made my husband's dream of sail-camping come true by agreeing to, well, sail-camp for our honeymoon. MINI honeymoon, let's be really clear here. I may be a simple girl, but I do have some wedding dreams, let's be honest. ;)
He kept reminding me how grateful he was that he finally found a girl who is as adventurous as he is and loves being outside and doing outdoorsy things with him. He literally said
"I'm so in love with you. You are the best thing that ever happened to me and you one by one are making all of my dreams come true."
Sweet, right?? I found a keeper ladies and gents.
Here are some pictures from our adventurous weekend on Lake Livingston in Livingston, Tx.

Stopped at Hobby Lobby just to get window paint. Oh, and we changed in the parking lot! lol (Some lady stared at us the ENTIRE time) |

Things like this really make me realize how blessed I truly am. I'm so thankful for the life I was given and I couldn't be more grateful. |

James LOVES THIS HAT! And staring off into the distance. |
 |
We always stop at the local eatery and have a burger at the end of our trip. |
 |
And last, but not least, here is my engagement ring with my wedding bands. James actually added an extra band because he said, "I want guys to see from far away that you're married and spoken for. I want them to look at that ring and go "Yeah, I can't do better than that, that dude is ballin."
Ahhh, gotta love man logic. No, really, with a ring like that, I like that logic. ;)
Well guys, that was my mini-moon adventure with my husband, the love of my life, and the father to my future babies. I hope you enjoyed and I hope you keep coming back to see my next camping shenanigans.
I would absolutely love to post about Olga and the progress from that, but I CAN'T! I am still legally bound to keep my mouth shut and.it's.killing.me. I love exposing frauds for what they are, but I am going to have to practice the patience I so prayed for all those years ago. Adios mi amigos. See you next time. |
