Hello Lovelies,
I suppose I should start off by introducing myself.
My name is Megan, I'm 23 happy years old, my birthday is April 4th, I'm a hippie at heart, I love being outside and experiencing new outdoor things. I respect nature and animals, I love love, I value God over everything and my family is next. I'm in the healthiest, happiest relationship I know of, I am a wonderful "mother" (we'll get into that at a later date), I'm in love with dancing and fitness, I have mean skills in the kitchen, I'm creative and crafty, I want a big family, and I'm engaged to be engaged (we'll also get into that later). I'm an upbeat positive person who values personal relationships and I hold honesty and integrity very near and dear to my heart. I am starting this blog because my boyfriend's mother thought it might be a good idea to start tracking my "stepson's" (like I said, we'll get into that later, hold your horses) life. I'm a stay-at-home "mom" and homemaker and I am good at what I do. I love children and I honestly believe they are the most important people on Earth.
They are our future and need to be extremely well taken care of.
That's why I'm here. I believe my purpose in this life is to protect the well-being of children and keep them from harm.
I suppose you're wondering what I'm talking about and I promise I'll tell you, but I'm a writer. When I write, I tell a story, I get into details, I make you feel. I'm going to save the juicy part for my next entry. I don't give it up on the first blog entry. What kind of girl do you take me for? So for now, I'll just give it to you where it all started and It all started with a Facebook message.
Here's some backstory.
J.C. (my betrothed) and I went to high school together. I'm from Austin and my very first day in League City, Tx was February 14th, 2004, (my favorite holiday, of course) and my first class was Mr. Wells, Texas History. There I was feeling nervous being in a new city on my favorite holiday (what a hopeless romantic, not so hopeless now, am I?) and then I walk into class like any awkward teenage weirdo from the city of weirdos would and plop myself down in my very uncomfortable plastic chair, keeping my eyes down. I get introduced to the class by sweet Mr. Wells and I look over and THERE HE WAS! The most beautiful long haired hippie boy I had ever seen in MY LIFE! Little did I know years later he would become the most important person to me (other than Mom and Wuwu)!
Back to the future,
On May 19th 2013 I was working a BEAUTIFUL Sunday at Carrabba's Italian Grill and this beautiful man messages me (there was just a TON of beauty in my day that day). It was completely unexpected because unfortunately this beautiful man and I had lost touch and he got baby trapped (it happens more often than you think) by a girl who we'll call Olga. So although I creeped his Facebook from time to time, I respected he had married and had a child. Little did I know that is NOT what he wanted for his life then, but him being a stand up guy, he did the right thing and married this little girl who decided she was mature enough to have a baby. Joke. Laugh. Cough.
Anyways, this man of my hippie dreams messaged me and because I'm no home wrecker I asked how married life with a baby was. He almost immediately responded "Not married, just a dad." And in my head I said
"Oh, so this is what this is?" ;)
Of course I'm excited because I and every other girl I knew crushed hard for this insanely beautiful, kind, good-hearted, mysterious high school man.
So he messaged me on a Sunday asked me out that same Sunday and we had our first date the next day at his favorite restaurant Skippers in Kemah, Tx.
Ah, nostalgia....
And here we are.
I'm going to get into more detail about why I'm a full-time mom and homemaker, but that requires more room than I've got right now and I need to keep you coming back. What's the fun if I give it all up to you now?
I will either write more a little later today or tomorrow, but until then, have an AMAZING day, enjoy the weather, get outside, be active and most importantly
BE HAPPY! :)
