Things I Learned in Lamaze Class

Information/Facts I Learned in Lamaze Class

My husband and I attended a 6 hour Lamaze Class last week and man, there were so many things that I had no idea about that I thought I knew and things I have never even thought of from breastfeeding to labor, from c-sections to natural birth. The list goes on and on. I loved this class and what impressed me even more was James seemed interested asking questions and stuff.
Mmmhhmm, I have a hubby who cares. ;)
You could definitely tell our teacher Miss Marissa knew her stuff and I am confident in the material she taught us because she has been a doula and teaching these classes for almost 20 years!
 Talk.about.trust.
There was a raffle, WHICH I ACTUALLY WON, she handed out free diaper and wipe samples, information cards, bracelets used as breastfeeding reminders and we even got to play games.
To say I liked this class was an understatement and I am grateful that both James and I got to take it.

Luckily, I get to go back December 1st for a SIDS class and then they are throwing a bunch of us a baby shower December 8th with more raffles and the prizes include playpens and strollers along with some smaller prizes.

Here's some of the swag I got:
Parents magazine and a ton of coupons

Newborn diaper and wipe samples

De wittle bitty newborn diaper compared to a car key. Dawwww

Free samples. (Aquaphor, nursing pads, breast milk storage bags, preparation h)

The window shade I won in the raffle
Obviously I'm excited, but I'll get back to the important stuff.

There's not JUST labor!
There are 3 stages of labor. Early (latent) labor, Active labor, and Transitional (Advanced) labor.
    • Early labor will last approximately 8-12 hours. Your cervix will efface and dilate to 3 cm. Contractions will last about 30-45 seconds, giving you 5-30 minutes of rest between contractions. Contractions are typically mild, somewhat irregular, but become progressively stronger and more frequent. So you'll want to stay home during this stage of labor as it can take a really long time and I don't know about you, but I'd rather be in the comfort of my own home for 8-12 hours before going to the hospital. My teacher urged and urged us NOT to go to the hospital during this time UNLESS something was seriously wrong (bleeding more than a pad). Things you can do during early labor is RELAX as much as you can. Take a warm bath, cook a few meals, SLEEP, just try to take it easy and stay calm. It can only benefit you and the baby.
    • Active Labor-Your contractions will grow stronger and longer during active labor, a phase that usually lasts from 2-3 1/2 hours. You'll usually be in the hospital or birthing center by this phase (or if you're delivering at home, your midwife will be with you by now). As your cervix dilates to 7 centimeters, contractions will come every 3-4 minutes and will typically last 40 to 60 seconds (although they may not follow a regular pattern). You'll probably notice a distinct peak halfway through each contraction. This is usually the stage where if you're going to get an epidural, to ask for it now.
    • Transitional (Advanced) Labor- During transitional labor, the last, most intensive, and fortunately the shortest of the phases of labor (generally lasting from 15 minutes to an hour), your cervix will dilate from 7 to its final 10 centimeters. Contractions are very strong at this point — usually 60 to 90 seconds long, and with intense peaks. Because they're spaced only about 2-3 minutes apart, it may seem as though you barely get to relax before the next contraction begins. This is the most intense and physically demanding stage of labor so having support from whoever you allow in the room is FUTILE!!!

When to go to the hospital:

There are 2 signs that indicate labor is beginning: Progressing contractions and your water breaks.

Use the 411 Method:

  •  Contractions 4 minutes apart, lasting 1 minute, for at least 1 hour.
  • Take a warm bath. This can be comforting and relaxing to you.
  • Lie on your left side for 30 minutes and start timing contractions. If you have between 7 and 9 contractions in 30 minutes, you are in active labor. If not, the are what are called Braxton-Hicks contractions. Labor contractions may begin hours or even days later.
  • If you are in labor, try to be in upright positions. Massages during contractions can also be helpful.
  • When you feel more intense contractions, it's time to go to the hospital
Water Breaks:

Remember COAT if your water breaks, you OB will ask:

  • C- Color of the liquid
  • O- Odor, if any (if there is it may smell like a mild bleach)
  • A- Amount that came out and how often
  • T- Time that it happened
.
On average 80% of women go to the hospital when contractions start, 20% when their water breaks.
I'm so thankful that I've learned about the different stages of labor because I would have 100% gone to the hospital right when contractions started.
UH-OH
FIRST TIME (biological) MOM ALERT!!!
Originally, I was full blown ready to have an epidural, but after the class I have COMPLETELY changed my mind.
I'm not knocking those of you who want one or have had one, please don't think that, labor is super personal and YOUR choice so if that's what you want or needed, rock on witcha bad self!
Honestly, I've never done this before so I may go in there with all these expectations of all natural child birth and end up begging for one, who knows.
So far I am clear for a natural, med-free labor and my pregnancy has been problem free other than sciatica pain and extreme morning sickness, so I am confident that if I continue to be so blessed by having such an easy pregnancy, then I am totally going al naturale, YOU BETTA BELIEVE!!!

FUN FACT:
  • You can be in stage 2 of labor, ask for an epidural, and it can completely numb you to the point that you can't push and have to have an emergency c-section. It's not even worth it if you are already on the brink of popping your baby out. Also, you can have damaged nerves for the rest of your life. Totally.not.worth.it.

We also learned about how to write a birth plan so you and your doctor are on the same page.
Unfortunately, James and I were late to the 2nd half of class, but only by 15 minutes so it wasn't too bad. We went on our lunch break to check out a house in Pearland that we have put an application in for and FINGERS CROSSED, get.
It's a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house with a BEAUTIFUL backyard and awesome 2 car garage.
We desperately need a bigger space for our growing family and since we have Reagan full time, he needs his own room (which he has now), but Annabelle needs her own as well or else Mommy is going to rip her hair out if I can't establish a sleep schedule between the two of them early on. :)
Anyways, back to the birth plan.
We were late, but luckily she gave us a worksheet with the different information that I guess is on a basic birth plan.

Birth Plans Includes:
  • Your health care provider's contact info
  • Where you plan on having your baby
  • Who your primary support person during labor is, their contact info
  • Who else you want in the room, their contact info
  • What KIND of support you want during labor (help breathing, help working through contractions, massage, moving around)
  • Do you want to be able to move around during labor
  • What position you want to be in during labor (lying down, sitting, standing, moving around, squatting)
  • What kind of drugs you want, if any
  • Who you want to cut the umbilical cord
  • If you want to keep the cord blood (what?)
  • If you want your baby with you at all times after birth or if it's ok to have your baby spend time in the nursery
  • If you want to breastfeed
  • If you're having a boy, whether you want them circumcised or not
  • If you have any special traditions that will take place in the labor and delivery room
  • If there are any complications with you or your baby, who you want to be told first, you or your main support person
  • If there are other issues the hospital or birthing center staff should know about you or your baby's birth
  • Baby's health care provider's contact info
  •

 FUN FACTS:

  • Did you know that you DO NOT have to be lying down during labor. You can squat, stand, lunge, slow dance, lay on your side with a ball in between your legs, semi-sit, lean on a birth ball, and bounce on a birth ball or all if you want. You've got tons of options to choose from and I was more than excited to hear that.
  • You can request a lactation consultant after you give birth to aid in breastfeeding.
  • You can also request an hour of skin to skin contact with your baby. That will help establish breast feeding.
  • If you have sensitive nipples, you can "get them ready" by exposing them to sunlight for 1 minute a day or by rubbing an ice cube on them
  • At your last ultrasound or one close to your due date, if your baby is breach, crawl on all fours for 10 minutes a day up until labor and gravity should take care of positioning the baby.
  • The more you breastfeed, the more milk you will produce.
  • The more liquids you drink, the more milk you will produce.
  • The more you latch your baby and have skin to skin contact, the easier it will be to breastfeed.
  • Whatever breast you STARTED the feeding with, even if you finished the feeding on the other, START WITH THE OPPOSITE BREAST YOU ORIGINALLY STARTED WITH. It doesn't matter which one you left off on!!!
  • Breast milk is made up of 80% water.

The different positions you can be in during labor and the different massages you can have your support person do to you. (My favorite was the figure 8)

I know I learned more than this, but honestly, it was a lot all at once and this is as much a my pregnancy brain can muster up today. If I remember any other facts tips or tricks, I'll add them on.
Well, I hope you learned a thing or two because I know I sure did.
Stay tuned for my next update and I hope you ALL have an amazing night.
Adios mi amigos, Buenos noches.

This is the face of pregnancy acne. She must be cooking into a beautiful girl because she's sucking the beauty out of me. lol

RJ's 2nd Birthday! :)

Happy Number 2!

Hello Everyone,

This past week and a half has been SUPER busy for me between RJ's 2nd birthday party, the chiropractor visits, my gender scan, anatomy scan (done seperate from the gender scan), the gym, a wedding, and church, I'm beat! Although it has been a whirlwind and a tad bit overwhelming, I am seriously in the healthiest, happiest place I have ever been in life and I wouldn't have it any other way.
That being said, this particular blog post is going to be about RJ's 2nd birthday party and I can't believe a year has gone by already!
It seems like just yesterday I was scrambling around trying to get things ready for his 1st birthday party. We did a "Bob the Builder" theme because James is in construction and RJ is a complete tinker-er.
He loves to do and un-do things,
plug things in where he thinks they'll fit,
stack and build.
It's scary how much he takes after his daddy, but its also a wonderful thing because his daddy is a dang good man and I can only hope he measures up to be half (or more) of the man James is.
Anywho, I'll stop yapping and get to the good good.

Here are pictures from his first birthday:

This is from the weekend before his birthday 2013

James holding RJ after his cake smash
I have to toot my horn here. This is the cake I made him to go with the Bob the Builder theme.
Daaawwww, look at how much he's grown! Reagsy Poo is not a baby anymore!

Now here are the rest of the pictures from his 2nd party :)

On the move!

The kid loves tractors and trucks.

I don't know if it was the pregnancy tastebuds or what, but this was the best cake I've ever eaten in my life. Seriously.

I tried to get a picture of everyone.

Daddy helping Reagan open presents.

A TOOL BENCH, COOL!!!!
This kid could not get enough Chuck E. He even followed him to the other kid's birthday's that were having parties next to ours. lol

Reagan just wanted Chuck E, he didn't care about presents. This was him trying to escape.

Me and my bump on the ground opening his presents for him.

Tool bench is up and running.

Reagan tinkering.

Needless to say, we had an awesome time and I hope Reagan can look back on this and know how many people love and care about him to the absolute fullest!

IT'S A.... (Gender Reveal and Week 20 Pregnancy and Picture Update)

IT'S A GIRL!!!!
I am overjoyed and excited to announce that we are expecting our little Annabelle Emli Arnett February 15, 2015! :)))
We caught her sucking her thumb. :)
I love my due date because Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday and my mom's birthday is just 5 days later. I know that due dates are only an outline of when she (ahhh, I love calling her a she and not an it anymore) is supposed to come, but sometimes they happen on time, right?
Honestly, I couldn't be happier with the date although, I did try to tailor make when we were going to have a baby. James and I got married in April and I wanted to get pregnant in June or July because I love the month of April so much, I wanted an April baby (thank goodness James was on the same page), but the big man upstairs had other plans for us and I ended up pregnant in May.
I am truly thankful that God is in control and already had something mapped out for us because if we as humans made our own decisions all the time, the world might be so much more chaotic than it already is.
Take for instance, me.
I kept flip flopping back and forth about wanting a boy or a girl. I only wanted a boy so he would look like me and be my little momma's boy, also so RJ would have a close-in-age pal to play with. On the other hand, I SO SO SO badly wanted a girl because of how close my mom and I are and I want that same mother daughter relationship. Also, who doesn't love the idea of having a little them running around?
Of course I would have been happy with either, but I was so relieved to hear "She's a girl" at the doctor's office and I cried a couple times that day while I was running my errands.
Hormones!
Oh, and my husband!!
He is so excited to have a little girl, which is a big relief to me.
He told me that he's nervous to have a girl because he's scared he'll love her too much and he already knows how to be a dad to a boy, but a girl is a complete different story. :)
James makes me melt when he feels my belly and kisses it, talking to our daughter, telling her how much he loves her and her mommy.
He told me the other day he already feels so close and connected to her and nothing makes me love him more than hearing how much he already loves our unborn baby.
She's already got him wrapped around her little finger.
UH OH, DADDY'S GIRL ALERT!!!
Oh geez....what am I in for?!
Well anyways, on to the update!!
Her perfect little profile.
Week 20:

How far along: 20 weeks or 5 months in normal people time. (See: Excuse Me, What? The Guide to Pregnancy in Weeks and Months)

Total weight gain: At my gender scan last Thursday I was 121, so I'm up 9 lbs.

Maternity clothes? I have two pairs of maternity leggings, a pair of maternity shorts, and a few tops, but I found some AMAZING stretchy Merona shirts at Target on sale for $3 each that I am wearing the crap out of. Other than that, I still wear my normal clothes.

Stretch marks? Not one. :)

Sleep: I am sleeping so much more soundly lately, but sciatica pain is KILLING me.

Best moment this week:  Finding out what our little angel was and getting to reveal it at RJ's 2nd birthday party September 27, 2014 and getting to spend ALL weekend with James.
Miss Anything? Even though I see him everyday, I miss my husband. He works such long hours. I also miss my back not hurting at night.

Movement: I feel her every now and then, mainly after I eat something sweet.

Food cravings: Still sandwiches and the salad from Cheddar's. Honestly, I crave all kinds of salads now including egg and chicken. There is just something about the cold/lightness of them that my body craves. I am blessed to crave those healthy things, but I'm pretty sure it's cancelled out by my INTENSE cravings for cookies, brownies, and cupcakes. As if I already wasn't sweet enough. ;)
Anything making you queasy or sick: RJ poopy diapers and people's B.O. at the gym. I have to switch machines if they come use one next to me. lol

Have you started to show yet?: Some days I feel like I stick out like crazy, other days not so much. I always take my belly pics right after I eat so all my pictures look super preggo, but then people see me in person and can't believe how tiny I still am for how far into the pregnancy I am. Just last week at my mom's job people were asking me where the baby was and got all bug eyed when I told them how far along I was. It took me by surprise, but I am a really short, tiny person so I imagine our baby will also be a teensy girl. :) I don't know, I guess it depends on what I wear and eat.

Gender: A sweet baby girl.

Name: Annabelle Emli (pronounced Em-lee) Arnett. Our name is customized and stitched together with family names.
Anna- James' sister's name is Anna and my grandma's middle name is Ann.
Belle- My great grandma's name is Claudia Belle.
Em- My cousin's name is Emily.
Li- My other cousin, Emily's sister name is Lila.
In conclusion, Annabelle Emli has a TON of meaning and it is very near and dear to our hearts.
Labor Signs: Heck No!!!
Symptoms: Sciatica pain, mild acne, and itchy skin due to growing.

Belly Button in or out? Like I said, I don't think this thing is going to pop out at all the entire pregnancy.

Wedding rings on or off? Still on, but I take them off at night to sleep.

Happy or Moody most of the time: I have a lot of happy sass going on. :) I'm usually always in a good mood, but I have my moments of sass, fire, and sadness.
Looking forward to: My anatomy scan happening this Wednesday October 1, 2014. (RJ's actual 2nd birthday!) and going to the chiropractor to fix the sciatica pain.

In celebration of making it all the way to 20 weeks, I've decided it's time to string all my pictures together and see how far I've come body wise.
(I can't believe I ever had body issues, I looked great! I wish I was as fat as I was when I thought I was fat.)

This is how I looked when it all started.

Started feeling sick around 6 weeks and could only stomach junk. You can see I started to put on some weight.

I remember feeling SUPER bloated in this picture and then we went and ate some wings. lol Great way to stop the bloating, right?

Ugh, I remember this is when I started feeling better from being SO SO SO SO SICK and tired. Here I am bloated as all get out thinking I was "showing". lol
My nerves were on HIGH and everything got on them around this time..
The bloating went down and I started feeling better, still moody though.
This week I got a full face of acne, thanks Annabelle!

This week I started back at the gym because weight was not distributing in cute places and I regained almost all of my energy back.

I started showing to where people noticed this week! Yay, Mommy doesn't just look fat anymore and the gym has helped my mood and self-esteem TREMENDOUSLY!

At 19 weeks I went to the gym 6 days this week and I have never felt more energized or happy! This was my best week yet.

20 weeks 2 days and I have my complete sense of humor and goofiness back! Someone rubbed my belly this week and more eyes are on you Annabelle!

And here we are today after a big meal. I should really start taking morning pictures. lol

I'm so proud to be Annabelle's mommy and James and I are already so in love with and feel so connected to her! I feel she is the reason I was put here on this Earth, I was supposed to be her mommy and I can't wait to meet her, kiss her little toes, and nibble her little ears. I already can't stop looking at her ultrasound pictures and unfortunately I can already tell I'm one of THOSE moms if you know what I mean.
I can't get over how happy I am! I love life to the fullest and I'm just so.incredibly.happy! I wish you all the best and I hope you have amazing days. :)

18 Week Update

Week 18
Hello Sunshines,
I don't know about y'all, but I love taking random notes throughout the weeks to remember small details about my pregnancy. This is such a special time in my life and I really want to remember AS MUCH as I possibly can, but pregnancy brain is real and it is alive in my life.
So far I've written in "The Belly Book", which I love ($10 on Amazon.com), random statuses on Facebook, posted pictures on Instagram (@MAMArnett if you want to follow), and now I feel like I need to condense all that information into one easy go-to spot which is why I've decided to start filling out these questionnaires weekly, maybe every 4 weeks, I haven't really decided yet. I want them to be interesting so we'll see if things change enough to fill one out weekly.
Anyways, I've been reading other pregnancy blogs and I keep seeing the same survey on every.single.one and I can't really find any others so I guess I'll jump on the bandwagon. :)
P.S. I love surveys and questionnaires so if you find a different kind or format please let me know! :)
I love a book with a sense of humor!

Week 18

How far along? 18 weeks 3 days in normal people time. (See: Excuse Me, What? The Guide to Pregnancy in Weeks and Months.)
Total weight gain/loss? 6 pounds. I started out at 112 and I am now 118.
Maternity clothes? Yes.
Stretch marks? Thankfully no. I've been using body butter since I found out I was pregnant so hopefully I continue to stay stretch mark free and my mom, grandma, and aunts never got any so hopefully I inherited their good genes.
Sleep? No. I am having the hardest time staying asleep and once I wake up, I can't fall back asleep. It's a horrible cycle.
Best moment this week? James talking to our baby and telling it how much he loves him/her.
Miss Anything? I miss my tailbone not hurting and having no lower back pain. Oh and sleep, I also miss sleep.
Movement? Not externally.
Food cravings? The grilled chicken caesar pasta salad from Cheddar's! I can't get enough of it so I've started making my own version at home! I also can't get enough turkey sandwiches and cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, and ohhhh the chocolate chip cookies!
Anything making you queasy or sick? Onions and anything greasy. No fast or junk food for me.
Have you started to show yet? I just think I look fat, but my husband and family say I'm definitely showing.
Gender? We find out Friday, September 25th, 2014 at 1:30 pm. That's when my life will change! :)
Labor Signs? Oh heck no!
Belly Button in or out? I don't think my belly button will pop out at all, but we'll see.
Wedding rings on or off? On, but my wedding ring is really big so I can see myself wearing it on a necklace here soon.
Happy or Moody most of the time? I have been moody the entire pregnancy, but I have lightened up A TON now that I'm not feeling sick 100% of the time.
Looking forward to? Tomorrow, Thursday September 18, 2014 I have a doctor's appointment and I get to hear my little one, but I'm more excited for next Friday September 25, 3024 where JC and I get to actually see, hear, and find out our baby's gender! :)
I hope you've enjoyed this so far and I will continue weekly/bi-weekly/monthly, basically whenever things change. :) So Thank you and have a wonderful evening.
Last night at 18w2d. My double chin would not cooperate.
Additional Edit: I bought the "Tiny Beats" fetal heart rate moniter app for my iphone and it is AMAZING! I can hear his/her heartbeat clearly and it tracks how many beats/minute also! I do recommend using this with headphones although it is not required, but I heard it a lot more clearly with than without. I unfortunately purchased "My Baby's Beat" heart rate moniter before "Tiny Beats" and it was awful. It just sounded like static and I even had a hard time hearing my own heartbeat. So I urge you (only if you want) to buy "Tiny Beats"!! I love love love love love love love it! :)

24 Wives Tales to Predict the Gender (for fun)

He or She What Will it Be?
My hubby and I find out the gender September 25, 2014 and I am 17 weeks tomorrow (Sunday September 7, 2014), but me being an impatient Aries, I just can't help, but toy with all the 100% correct 50% of the time gender predictors.
:)
Old Wives Tale #1: Legs
If your legs get really big, you're having a boy. If your legs stay in shape and lean, it's a girl.
Boy

Old Wives Tale #2: Moodiness and a Little Pecker
If you are really moody, you are having a girl since you have extra girl hormones in you. Your pregnancy will make you smile and be more happy if you are having a boy because there's a little penis inside you. Not sure how true this is, but it sure does make me laugh!
Girl

Old Wives Tale #3: Bread
If you eat the ends of bread, it's a boy. If you eat the middle of the load, it's a girl.
Girl
(but who eats the ends anyways? I say a half point)

Old Wives Tale #4: Chinese Gender Chart
The Chinese Gender Chart claims to have an accuracy rate of over 90%. It is based on how old the mother is at conception and the month that she conceived.
Boy

Old Wives Tale #5: Mom's Beauty
Basically you're having a girl if your beauty disappears during pregnancy. It is said that the girl "steals" the mother's beauty. If you think that pregnancy has never made you look more beautiful, you might just be having a little boy.
Definite Girl
(I have never had such bad skin in my life)

Old Wives Tale #6: Dream of Sex of Baby
If you have dreams that you are having a boy, you will have a girl. If you dream about having a girl, it will be a boy. Dreams show the opposite of what you are having.
 Tie
(I've had 2 boy dreams and 1 girl, but the girl dream was twins so who know. I call a draw)

Old Wives Tale #7: Clumsy vs. Graceful
If the pregnant woman is graceful throughout her pregnancy, she's having a girl. If she becomes clumsy, she's having a boy.
Girl

Old Wives Tale #8: Toddlers
If a toddler boy expresses interest in a pregnant woman, she is having a girl. If he doesn't show interest, she's having a boy.
Girl
(My stepson who is not the cuddly type has been all over me kissing my belly, rubbing my belly, laying his head on me, patting my back. He's been clinging to me like crazy. Hmmmm...)

Old Wives Tale #9: Side You Most Rest On
If a pregnant woman prefers to lay on her left side, she's having a boy. If she prefers resting on her right side, she's having a girl.
Boy

 Old Wives Tale #10: Hands
When the pregnant woman is asked to show her hands, it's a boy if she keeps her palms down and a girl if she shows her palms up.
Girl

Old Wives Tale #11: Dad's Weight Gain
If the dad-to-be gains weight while you are pregnant, it's a girl. If he doesn't gain weight, you're having a boy.
Girl

Old Wives Tale #12: Breast Test
If a pregnant woman's left breast is larger than the right breast, she's having a girl. If the right breast is larger, it's a boy.
Tie

Old Wives Tale #13: Necklace Over Hand
Have someone hold a necklace over your hand. If the necklace swings back and forth, it's a boy. If it moves in a circle, it's a girl.
 Tie
(It swung back and forth at first, then circled, then back and forth)

Old Wives Tale #14: What Do You Think?
71% of the time, the mom-to-be knows what she is having.
Girl

Old Wives Tale #15: Morning Sickness
If you had a smooth pregnancy with no morning sickness, it's a boy. If you were sick or felt really nauseous during your pregnancy, count on a girl.
GirlGirlGirl
(I've been sooooo sick)

Old Wives Tale #16: Areola
If your areola (the part around your nips) have darkened, it's a boy.
Girl
(luckily I'm the same as pre-pregnancy)

Old Wives Tale #17: Protein
When a pregnant woman craves meat and cheese, count on a boy, but if you crave sweets or citrus, girl.
Tie
(I crave cheese and milk, but pastries and pie)

Old Wives Tale #18: Feet
Are your feet colder now that you are pregnant? If so, you just might be having a boy. If your feet have stayed the same before pregnancy and during, you're having a little girl.
Girl

Old Wives Tale #19: Hair on Legs
If the hair on your legs has been growing at record speeds, you might be having a boy.
Girl

Old Wives Tale #20: Hands are Dry
If your hands are constantly dry, it's a boy.
Girl

Old Wives Tale #21: Urine
What color is your pee? If it is bright yellow, you will have a little boy. If your urine is a dull yellow, plan on a girl.
Girl
(does clear count as dull yellow?)

Old Wives Tale #22: Nose
Do you feel like your nose is growing and getting wider? If so, you might be having a boy.
Girl
(I don't need a wider nose thank you.)

Old Wives Tale #23: Headaches
If you are having headaches, you might be carrying a boy.
BoyBoyBoy
(I have the worst headaches, omgoodness)

Old Wives Tale #24: Baby Names
It is said that when you can only think of specific names for a boy or a girl, you will have that particularly baby.
Girl
(we've had our girl name since before I was pregnant, but we just can't decide on a boy)

So let's tally it up ladies and gentlemen!
Girl: 16                                                      Boy: 4
Tie: 4
We'll see in a few weeks how accurate this was for me!
So what answers did you get and were they right or wrong?
Don't forget this is just for fun and has no scientific evidence backing these up so take it with a grain of salt and don't get your hopes up on one specific gender because of these results. Pregnancy is turning out to be a tricky tricky thing and has all kinds of surprises in store for you.
I hope y'all have a wonderful evening, come back soon. :)
Additional edit: I know when I read a blog like this, I wish they would tell us what they ended up having at the end of a gender prediction survey so I didn't have to go click around and read extra blogs if I didn't want to or if I couldn't find the answer. So frustrating! So ladies and gentlemen, the "Old Wives Tales" turned out in our favor because we're expecting a little girl February 15, 2015! :)
